Finally worked out where one of the damn flashbacks fits into Heavy Ice. Yay! Including flashbacks is like starting one of those novelty three-dimensional jigsaw puzzles: it’s only a good idea if you have a very clear idea of what the finished edifice will look like, which I generally don’t.
November is coming, so good luck and godspeed to those of you doing NaNoWriMo! I won’t be doing it, because I want to get on with Heavy Ice, and also because I have the latest Sims 3 expansion pack on pre-order and I don’t have the willpower to leave it in its box until December 1.
