I’ve been using this free WordPress site for a while and have been wondering about self-hosting, but to be honest I don’t have the energy to deal with moving to a new site and learning how to configure the WordPress engine there, and the resident technical advisor is busy teaching himself Catalyst and has no room for other projects. (It’s possible that at some point he’ll get round to building me a site in Catalyst, but let’s say neither of us are holding our breath)
So, since what was really annoying me was the ads, I’ve decided to compromise by paying to go ad-free. I hadn’t realised how intrusive they were getting until I happened to look at the site on my phone: I think whoever paid to advertise ‘Which University Has The Hottest Cheerleaders?’ on my blog was wasting their money at best, but now you won’t have to look at it. Unless you have an adblocker, in which case this doesn’t make very much difference. I’m not really asking for advice, just giving you a heads-up on what’s going on.
Anyway, now I need to go and write some more books to pay for this. They’re set in a universe which admittedly has (a) chattel slavery, (b) a history of confusion, barbarity and people making really stupid political decisions, and (c) a *censored* of *censored* on the horizon which as well as all the trouble over *censored* is likely to make future books an interesting place to live, but at least they don’t assume everyone’s interested in rating the hotness of cheerleaders. In fact, let’s put the question to some of the inhabitants of Requite, shall we?
Tzenni Boccamera, which university has the hottest cheerleaders?
I imagine it’s a combination of the efficiency of the ventilation systems in their Spire and the fabric of their costumes. I had this idea for moisture-wicking fabric for competitive drummers… let me just find it in the archives…
Ligeia Boccamera, which university has the hottest cheerleaders?
But the Prime beyond Primes said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For Deity sees not as the Humana sees: the Humana look on the outward appearance, but God looks upon the heart.”
Zircon Grey, which university has the hottest cheerleaders?
What are you talking about? None of them have me.
Also, this is my 200th post. Go blog!

I *heart* Tzenni, bless her little cotton socks 😉
I thought about asking Innes, but if Innes were a cheerleader they’d arrange for the opposing team to have fatal accidents the day before the game and then be all “What? I thought we were supposed to be helping our guys win?”
Love the response from Zircon Grey — perfection!
